KETCHUM. The valet operation at The Observatory, A Viceroy Resort will park cars two high. KLAUS Multiparking America said it has completed a two-level mechanical parking system at the downtown Ketchum hotel ahead of its fall 2026 debut, giving the property 86 valet parking spaces on a site where a conventional garage would not fit.

The company describes the installation as the first mechanical parking system in Ketchum. The two-level design stacks two vehicles within the footprint of one, and the no-pit design meant no digging below grade, according to the company's announcement. The system was finished in August.

The Observatory takes its name from a rooftop observatory equipped with a professional-grade 17-inch PlaneWave telescope, operated by a local astronomer for guest and community stargazing, the company said. When it opens, the property is planned to offer 73 rooms and suites, 12 upper-floor condominium residences, a full-service spa with a hydrotherapy circuit, on-site dining, and about 5,500 square feet of banquet and conference space.

The hotel sits at the gateway to downtown Ketchum near Trail Creek, minutes from Bald Mountain's slopes. The lobby and residence images released with the announcement are artist's renderings of a property that has not yet opened.
